Black as night, with a white stripe on her head that looks like a lightning bolt, and spotted paws as if they’ve been dipped in milk – Lilla looks like a small, living yin-yang creature. And just as black and white intertwine on her fur, so too do darkness and light intertwine in her life.
Her story has not been easy. Separated from her mother too early, she found herself alone on the streets. She went hungry, fought for survival day after day, and then the worst misfortune struck – she was hit by a car. A broken bone, weeks of healing, pain no little creature should have to endure. But Lilla has a name that suits her perfectly – despite everything she has been through, she has survived.
Her rescue came in the form of kind people: a woman who found her and took her to the vet, and another person who gave her a temporary home until she finds her forever home. Proof that even in the toughest moments, someone is there to lend a hand.
Today, Lilla is above all else – calm. She’s affectionate and seeks the company of hands that won’t hurt her. But what truly sets her apart is her gaze – deep, almost ancient, as if she’s learned something in her short life that many never do. When she looks at you, you feel truly seen.
Lilla doesn’t ask for much – just a quiet place, a hand to stroke her, and the chance to finally just be a dog, without having to fight for survival. She deserves her happiness, and it’s literally in her name.
